As you may know, Massachusetts passed a law that changed the requirements for LTC training (along with many other things). Those requirements are finally being enforced effective April 2nd, 2026. As a result, there is currently NO curriculum that meets the standards statewide. The state was supposed to provide curriculum and a test (per the law, the test was supposed to be written by the Col of the State Police and The Director of the MPTC (the Police Academies). On March 4th, 2026 the state told all instructors that we could submit our own curriculum AND our own test for review and approval. At Logan Training Group, we have been working on our own, compliant curriculum since we were first made aware of the change in the law, so we were not too far behind the curve, we just had to create our test. We submitted our curriculum and test for review on March 5th, 2026 and are currently waiting for them to be reviewed. Until there is an approved curriculum, we cannot schedule any classes. Please check back often as we expect approval before too long. Once we have any course approved, we will begin training. Thank you for your patience in these troubling times.
